[English]

The aim of the present study was to determine the effectiveness of teaching growth mindset strategies on love of learning, effort and persistence, curiosity and self-esteem of 8–12-year-old children. The research method was an experimental type with experimental and control groups with pre-test-post-test and a 45-day follow-up period. The statistical population was all children aged 8 to 12 in Isfahan who referred to active counseling centers in the field of children and adolescents in the Spring of 1403, from which 40 children aged 8 to 12 (for two groups and 20 people in each group) were selected through convenient sampling by taking the entry criteria and were randomly assigned into control and experimental groups. The research tools included love of learning, effort and persistence, curiosity and self-esteem questionnaires. The data from the research were analyzed using a two-factor mixed analysis of variance test and Bonferroni post hoc test through SPSS-26 statistical software. The results showed that teaching growth mindset strategies was significantly effective on love of learning, effort and persistence, curiosity, and self-esteem in 8–12-year-old children in the post-test and follow-up stages. Therefore, given the emphasis on positive components among 8–12-year-old children, researchers in the research and clinical fields should pay attention to these findings.
