Abstract
The aim of the present study was to determine the effectiveness of cognitive rehabilitation program training on cold and hot executive functions in female students with mathematics anxiety disorder. The present study was applied in terms of its purpose and was an experimental study with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group and a one-month follow-up period in terms of its data collection method. The statistical population included all female students in the second period of high school in Jolfa City (East Azerbaijan Provine) in the academic year of 1402-1403, from which 30 female students with Mathematics anxiety disorder were selected using purposive sampling and randomly divided into two groups of 15. The measurement tools included the Mathematics Anxiety Questionnaire and the Behavioral Rating Questionnaire for Executive Functions. The experimental group underwent two one-and-a-half-hour sessions of the Captain Log cognitive rehabilitation program weekly; while the control group did not receive any training. The results of the mixed analysis of variance test showed that in the post-test and follow-up, the mean score of cold and hot executive function disorder in the experimental group decreased compared to the control group. It can be concluded that the cognitive rehabilitation program can be effective in reducing and improving cold and hot executive function disorder in female students with Mathematics anxiety.
